Intermediate Designer - Luxury Hospitality Design Studio (New York, NY)

The Role

A leading interior design studio is seeking a creative and driven Intermediate Designer with 3–6 years of experience to join its team, contributing to high-end hospitality and restaurant projects.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and a collaborative spirit to a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essential

  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop and SketchUp

  • Familiarity with U.S. building codes and regulations

  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, FF&E, and custom joinery detailing

  • Strong communicator and team player with the ability to coordinate, make decisions, and take initiative

  • Well-rounded experience across both interior design and FF&E

  • Meticulous, well-organized, and efficient in day-to-day tasks

  • Positive and collaborative team member who contributes to a supportive studio culture

  • Clear and fluent communicator in both written and spoken English

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign; familiarity with SketchUp is a plus

  • Confident in concept sketching and presenting design ideas

  • Experienced in producing accurate, detailed design documentation and schedules

  • Comfortable representing the studio externally and upholding its reputation for thoughtful, high-quality work
