Brand Designer - Pinterest (San Fransisco, CA)

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about building the brand that inspires our global community of Pinners to do what they love. As a Brand Designer, you’ll be responsible for crafting beautiful experiences within the Brand Creative Team at Pinterest. We pride ourselves in finding simplicity, structure and meaning in a complex and ever-evolving product ecosystem. On a day to day basis, you’ll collaborate with an extraordinary team launching initiatives that impact every facet of our organization. This role will initially focus on our Creators audience, but can flex to assist all audiences. We’re looking for someone who can dig into the work on day one, energize the team with different points of view on design solutions, and partner with senior members to bring those solutions to life.

What you’ll do:

  • Work through complex design problems to create beautiful and thoughtful solutions

  • Support senior designers and directors in daily design work, including but not limited to: sourcing imagery, iterating on design solutions, identifying creative partners, reviewing assets for quality control

  • Demonstrate expertise in typography, composition, layout, creative thinking, and strategy

  • Explore, propose and execute design solutions for a variety of problems that may take the form of videos, editorial layouts, billboards, physical experiences, social ads, etc.

  • Generate a high volume of iterations toward solutions in a quick time frame

  • Seeks feedback and coordinates/aligns one’s work with others’ activities

  • Displays a high level of craft and conceptual thinking

  • Contribute in art directing creative partners

  • Remain curious, with an eye on culture and society

  • Remains focused and inquisitive in the face of ambiguity and change

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in concepting and delivering complex design solutions

  • Demonstrable experience in an iterative, co-creative design process

  • Hands-on creation of sketches and design assets

  • Comfort with ambiguity and working quickly

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Ability to address and prioritize multiple projects at once

  • Motion or 3D skills appreciated but not required
