EV Product Design Analyst - Ford (Remote or MI)

Responsibilities

What you'll be able to do:

  • Identify customer needs, desirability, and bring shape to the solution space.

  • Deliver concepts in variety of spaces to include human centered design, design thinking, product development, economics, and customer research.

  • Visualizing new product concepts through writing, sketching, photoshop, 3d rendering, photography, and video.

  • Support concepting team with wide range of activities, including visualization, workshop facilitation, value-chain analysis / mapping, trend spotting, segmentation, and customer insights analysis.

  • Understand Global consumer and competitive landscape.

  • Demonstrating passion and curiosity.

  • Distill data, insights, and information into compelling, easy-to-digest presentation materials, and support discussions with Ford senior leadership.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3+ years' experience and / or project portfolio in industrial design, UX / UI, visual communication, human centered design, and / or design thinking practices

  • 3+ years of experience and / or project portfolio in image manipulation using software tools such as Adobe Photoshop

  • 3+ years' experience and / or project portfolio in 3D rendering, 3D modeling, or other CGI related discipline

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Broad potential and core knowledge around visual media creation and design thinking to assist the team with new white space opportunities

  • Willingness / ability to learn B2B & B2C research & analysis methods (primary and secondary)

  • Ability to think and act independently

  • Demonstrated capability of oral/written presentation skills – able to represent a concise point of view and communicate ideas in a clear and compelling manner

  • Ability to integrate ideas and influences from outside sources and industries

  • The ability to fluidly jump between the big picture and the details

  • Comfort interacting with and presenting to senior leaders

  • High energy self-starter with ability to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision

  • Ability and courage to effectively communicate key issues and recommendations to senior management

  • Active Listener, Open-Minded, Creative, and Graphic Facilitation
