Microsol Resources– a technology and services provider for the architectural, engineering, and construction industry – is looking to add Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialists to our growing firm.

We are looking for people who are curious and excited about technology, its application in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries, and who enjoy sharing their acquired knowledge with both their clients and team members.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sharp and motivated person to fully utilize their communication and technical skills while being an active and influential member of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries.

With technologies like virtual reality, LIDAR scanning, and interactive visualization becoming more prevalent in the day-to-day activities of designers, there is also ample opportunity for you to pursue specializations in the design and collaborative technologies we offer based on your skills and interest.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our technical team, you will provide our growing construction customer base with outstanding VDC/BIM support. You will be responsible for providing support, training, and implementation of Autodesk Construction Solutions, including:

  • Performing BIM health checks, developing and implementing BIM standards, assisting clients with authoring BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and other VDC/BIM-related services.

  • Responding to support requests on VDC/BIM and CAD applications via email, telephone, and/or screen share while documenting interactions in Salesforce Service Cloud.

    What you’ll bring to the table:

    • You’ll have a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction environment.

    • You are advanced to expert Revit or Autodesk Construction Solutions or Civil 3D user and have knowledge extending beyond the “picks-and-clicks” and have a deep understanding of the best practices and workflows for using BIM software.

    • You can provide well-thought-out and clear directives to help clients resolve their issues either over the phone or in written communication.

    • You have the initiative to learn additional Autodesk design, construction, and collaborations applications and the workflows that drive their use in the AEC industry.

    • You can professionally engage with the entire spectrum of client personas from C-Suite to the end-user.

    • You work well in a team-oriented, technical environment.

    Not essential, but nice to have:

    • Intermediate to expert knowledge on any of these applications: Navisworks, Rhino, Enscape, and Panzura

    • Knowledge of Dynamo/Grasshopper, C# or Python programming languages, and Revit API programming is a plus

    Additional Information

    • The position offers a salary plus bonus and benefits.

    • The position is for a hybrid office and work-from-home structure and will need to be able to commute to one of our office locations in New York office
