ROLE SUMMARY

Join our indie squad as a versatile Principal 3D Artist / Art Director to play a pivotal role in the visual development of our flagship title. You'll spearhead the creation of high-quality 3D assets and guide the game's artistic direction, blending technical skill with creative vision. This role is for those ready to contribute across the board and wear multiple hats in a collaborative, dynamic environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft high-quality stylized 3D assets, including modeling, texturing, and material creation, within Unreal Engine.

  • Lead the artistic development, ensuring alignment with our visual style and direction.

  • Collaborate with both our team and outsourcing partners, guiding and harmonizing the artistic vision.

  • Communicate proactively within our team to understand needs and promote effective collaboration to deliver great results.

  • Play and give feedback on the game.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience, with at least one title shipped in a Senior art role.

  • Expert knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and material creation.

  • A balance of technical and artistic skills, with an understanding of lighting and rendering techniques.

  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine and familiarity with its art pipelines and material editor.

  • Deep understanding of modern toolsets and techniques, including (but not limited to) Substance Designer/Painter, Perforce, and 3D modeling packages.

  • Experience optimizing assets to maximize game performance.

  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a knack for driving understanding and idea-sharing.
