POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to Director of Capital Projects, Office of the PresidentThe SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM MANAGER will lead the energy management program to support and advance the School of Visual Art’s (SVA) sustainability efforts. The Program Manager will evaluate, manage and optimize heating, cooling and water consumption across a portfolio of 1M square feet in 18 buildings, and manage the campus energy dashboard. They work collaboratively with capital and facilities staff to identify and implement best practices for efficient equipment operation, develop capital projects and energy management programs, and train staff to make best use of energy, water, and utility management tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a system of consistent, efficient and reliable energy management.
Oversee energy studies and coordinate projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Partner with Facilities staff to establish and implement a comprehensive energy reduction plan.
Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets; coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins and contractor access; and visit sites regularly through close-out. Ensure targets are met for quality, cost, schedule and safety.
