In short

The Senior Specialist - Retail Merchandising Planner, reporting to the Lead - Retail Merchandise Planning will support product strategy, sales analysis, and forecasting to ensure the right products are in the right stores, at the right time, and in the right quantities.

By analyzing sales and demand across stores, regions, and categories, you will help shape effective product strategies tailored to different store formats. You'll be responsible for creating assortments, supporting sales planning, and playing a key role in building the retail merchandising function from the ground up—including contributing to some of the most exciting store openings across the Americas.

Your mission

  • Develop and maintain sales analysis reports across regions, stores, and categories to provide clear, actionable insights for key stakeholders (Regional/Global Merchandising, Store Leaders, Sales Leaders, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Product Managers, etc.)

  • Proactively communicate insights and recommendations based on sales performance and trends

  • Support the creation and execution of assortment strategies by store and region, tailored to each product category

  • Contribute to assortment selection for your region’s stores, including forecasting quantities down to model and color level

  • Plan and forecast for limited editions, collaborating with Visual Merchandising and Trade Marketing to ensure aligned in-store execution

  • Monitor monthly sales targets versus actuals, provide updates to strategic and finance teams on emerging trends, and recommend forecast adjustments when needed

Your story

  • 4+ years of experience in retail planning, assortment planning, or product planning—ideally in sportswear, footwear, or similarly dynamic, style- and size-intensive categories with frequent product refreshes

  • High proficiency in forecasting and planning tools, as well as Excel or Google Sheets, including use of advanced formulas, lookups, pivots, and experience building or enhancing planning tools

  • Experience visualizing and mapping out assortments—whether on a whiteboard, in decks, or using digital tools—to illustrate product flow, depth, and storytelling across store formats or regions

  • Skilled communicator and presenter, able to tailor messaging for cross-functional stakeholders and influence at all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to analyze data and market trends to develop a cohesive, forward-looking strategy across a product category

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; travel percentage will fluctuate based on business needs
