Danish Kurani is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Architect to join our dynamic team on a freelance (contract) basis. As a key member of our design studio, you will lead the design process for complex architectural projects from concept through construction documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor junior design staff in developing innovative and functional design solutions

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and design intent

  • Prepare design concepts and presentations for clients and stakeholders

  • Oversee the production of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details

  • Ensure design solutions meet building codes and zoning regulations

  • Coordinate with consultants and engineering teams to integrate various design disciplines

  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, and ensure design quality throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Experience with ground up construction projects, permit sets, and construction details

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent design skills, with a strong understanding of architectural principles and construction methods

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
