About Amber Book:

Amber Book is the industry leader in licensure exam prep for architects and is continuing to grow by recently expanding into continuing education for licensed architects, aiming to improve upon the existing offerings in the field by making the content more engaging and accessible. Amber Book's courses are distinctive because they take complex, technical topics and make them accessible through engaging, animated videos that are specifically created by architects, for architects. Amber Book emphasizes a content-first approach and maintains a strong workplace culture that values learning, growth, and fun while working to develop a better built environment through better professional education.

Position Summary:

The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a deep understanding of all products offered by Amber Book and ensuring Amber Book is an industry leader in providing educational content and customer experience that is intuitive and enjoyable. They will be responsible f or maintaining Amber Book’s content, including structuring course materials, working with subject matter experts to develop content that is accurate and relevant, and answering technical enrollee questions. This role also requires research and data analysis to develop strategic insights and collaboration with team members to execute on content initiatives.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

  • Structure and develop online content in collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts and other team members

  • Providing subject matter expertise in collaboration with other team members

  • Design, develop, and evaluate online content to make current offerings more engaging and scalable

  • Moderate course discussions and respond to enrollee questions and/or requests as necessary

  • Provide input on decisions, identify issues or trends, meet goals, and propose new ideas through smart analysis of quantitative and qualitative data

  • Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics; maintaining research databases

  • Design appropriately detailed outlines, objectives, content, interactions, and assessments that meet regulatory requirements and the needs of various learner types and adult eLearning pedagogy

  • Support course development or revision projects by collaborating and communicating with other team members to deliver on-time, accurate, effective, high-quality content

  • Support various projects as needed/necessary

  • Knowledge of both the AEC industry and a technical understanding of current best practices in building design, building construction, and building science would be necessary in order to provide valuable expertise that can be used to generate high quality content for the AEC industry.

  • You have experience with Adobe CC including Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator

  • You are a competent collaborator with effective communication and relationship-building skills

  • You have experience with project management, planning project schedules, budgets and goals

  • You are detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and quality

  • Design appropriately detailed outlines, objectives, content, interactions, and assessments that meet regulatory requirements and the needs of various learner types and adult eLearning pedagogy

  • Support course development or revision projects by collaborating and communicating with other team members to deliver on-time, accurate, effective, high-quality content

  • Ability to work well under pressure, with high attention to detail and according to deadlines

  • Ability to work cohesively on a team-and be self-directed

  • Visual representation skills are a plus

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Internal and External Interaction:
