Reporting to the Engagement & Construction Director, the Park Construction Manager will oversee the construction of new food forests in addition to supporting their design thus transforming underutilized land into thriving green spaces that benefit the entire Boston community. This includes managing all aspects of the projects, from design to grand opening, with a keen eye towards ensuring that each project is completed on time, on scope, and within budget. This person will manage end-to-end development of between 5-10 new food forests at a time.
Ideal candidates are creative project managers and problem solvers, and thrive in keeping details from falling through the cracks. We’re looking for a strong communicator who can build relationships with many different key collaborators across all projects. We’re looking for someone with strong project management experience and skills, and who understands the construction and/or design process of landscape or park development. Ideal candidates are passionate about food forests and committed to working collaboratively with communities to create sustainable and resilient green spaces.

Responsibilities
Construction management
Manage project planning of new food forest parks.
Manage contractors to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Manage infrastructure construction, e.g., mainline water installation, solar power systems, irrigation systems.
Build partnerships with construction suppliers, e.g., for fruit tree provision, materials, etc.
