ROLE SUMMARY
The Construction & Design Development Coordinator will serve as a vital link both in making our beautiful restaurant designs come to life and in ensuring that they best serve our teams’ operational needs. This position will directly oversee the bidding, ordering, delivery, and payment of all equipment and design elements such as lighting, chairs, tables, fabric, finishes, equipment, and signage. Additionally, the Development Coordinator will manage development related admin, including account set-ups, updating construction schedules and budgets. This role will require a highly organized individual with keen attention to detail, as the Development Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vendor services, deliveries, and invoice payment. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Project Management
Manage the day-to-day functions of bidding, purchasing, arranging delivery, and processing invoices for all restaurant design elements, including furniture, equipment, and materials
Verify purchase requisitions and orders, oversee inventory management, and maintain adequate supplies on-hand through Nando’s data management system
Work with the global Nando’s team to ensure new vendor trials and equipment spec’s are aligned
Systems Management
Manage scheduling system to track overall project workflow, gathering updates from the team.
Working closely with the Director of Construction, and Director of Real Estate, ensure records of all landlord and outside contractor work are filed including drawings, RFI’s, submittals, bids, budgets, punch lists, schedules, quotes, invoices, and change orders
Vendor Relations
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and develop a working knowledge of products and their manufacturers
Manage payables to ensure that invoices are recorded, coded, submitted, + paid
Department Team Support
Provide admin support for team
Track and report on fixture and equipment budgets
Assist with art library and furniture/finish inventory
Ensure all compliance forms (flame retardant materials, etc.) and maintenance guides are maintained and filed as needed
Work with the training team to ensure smooth NRO handovers and documentation
No direct reports
Position reports directly to Director of Construction

Annual Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000

REQUIREMENTS
Professional college degree preferred, with Business Administration or Project Management as a plus.
Minimum 2 years of post-collegiate experience in a coordinator or administrative role, with experience in Development or Procurement/Purchasing fields being advantageous.
Manage construction purchasing for 3-5 years, ideally in restaurant, retail or with a contractor.
Skilled in vendor management and purchase order issuance.
Interpret construction documents effectively.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with a customer service focus.
Team player who can handle multitasking and shifting priorities.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Negotiation skills with a strong sense of budget ownership.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a keen eye for error detection.
Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documents.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with general contractors, specialty vendors, and other professionals providing services for development projects.
Capable of supporting multiple projects concurrently.
Experience using cloud-based Project Management Platforms
Ability to travel up to 10%.
