Detail Library is seeking an architectural technologist to join its team remotely.
The role would be best suited for someone who is looking for flexibility in their working day and enjoys working remotely. The position would be a good fit for someone with a technical background, with at least 5 years experience working in UK practice. 
We are a developing platform with potential to scale, so a candidate who is interested in helping the platform achieve its potential would be ideal. 


 
Role Overview:
As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in curating and creating high-quality content focused on construction detailing and sustainable design principles. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of empowering architects with practical insights and technical guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed construction drawings and technical documents tailored to UK standards and regulations.

  • Research and curate content related to sustainable design practices, including Passivhaus principles.

  • Collaborate with our editorial team to ensure accuracy and relevance of technical content.

  • Provide expert advice and support to our community of architects and technologists.

 
Requirements:

  • Proficiency in construction detailing with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical expertise.

  • Passion for sustainable design and familiarity with Passivhaus standards (preferable).

  • In-depth knowledge of UK construction methods, building regulations, and standards.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively to a remote team environment.

  • Have a minimum of 8-10 hours per week available for the role. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
