Job Description
We’re looking for a Project Site Designer to lead site design efforts across a range of projects, from small backyard ADUs to large-scale developments requiring full entitlement. The ideal candidate will work well in a startup environment, be self-motivated, and have good attention to detail.

What You'll Do:
Lead the preparation of site plans, permitting documents, and construction plan sets for a variety of project types, including backyard ADUs, multifamily ADU additions, and urban infill developments.
Coordinate AutoCAD drawings for projects and be responsible for the initial drawing setup. You’ll assist in file management, plotting, creating, and updating project drawing lists and general drawing management.
Collaborate with internal teams—including sales/acquisitions, development, product, pre-construction, project management and construction—to refine project requirements and document standards.
Contribute to the ongoing catalog of AHJ-specific documents and code requirements for Villa’s service regions.
What You Have:
Degree in Architecture or related field required, or 5-10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Workspace, Bluebeam software and ProCore.
Expertise in all phases of architectural document production and understanding the relationship between drawings and specifications.
Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages, from early feasibility studies to full permitting and construction documentation.
Understanding and application of CA and CO Zoning structures, ADU law, applicable building codes, and accessibility requirements.
Understanding of building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry- associated standards is expected.
Understanding of zoning laws, land use regulations, and entitlement processes, particularly for large-scale development is a plus.
Specialized experience with multifamily residential, PropCo, and single family modular/manufactured homes a plus.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing system design is a plus.
Comfort with ambiguity, and a willingness to take on tasks outside of your comfort zone.
Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment and adaptable to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to clearly communicate is a must.
Salary
$95,370 - $112,200 a year
The compensation band for this role is $95,370 - $112,200 in California (salary band dependent on location).
