Description

Imagination New York is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior to Mid-Level UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic creative team. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering exceptional user experiences for both digital products and physical environments, working on diverse projects for globally recognized brands.

Your expertise in user-centered design principles and ability to translate user needs and business goals into intuitive and engaging interfaces are essential. Proficiency in industry-standard UX/UI design tools is a must.

This role offers the chance to contribute to all stages of the design process, from user research and ideation to prototyping and implementation, within a collaborative and innovative team in New York City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with user research: interviews, surveys, usability testing.

  • Translate research into user journey maps and wireframes.

  • Design user interfaces for mobile, desktop, and experiential platforms.

  • Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.

  • Collaborate with 3D and 2D designers on integrated UX/UI elements.

  • Participate in design presentations, articulate rationale, and implement feedback.

  • Support user acceptance testing and iterate on designs.

  • Contribute to maintaining UX/UI design quality and consistency.

  • Stay updated on UX/UI trends and best practices.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Familiarity with UX/UI design processes (wireframing, prototyping, user flows).

  • Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles (mobile-first, responsive).

  • Interest in user-centered design (UCD) and user research/testing.

  • Working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Effective communication skills for explaining design ideas.

  • Eagerness to learn from feedback and iterate on designs.

  • Passion for solving user experience problems.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.


Even Better If You Have:

  • Experience designing for live events or exhibitions.

  • Experience with motion graphics or animation.

  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
