Responsibilities

  • Own and develop features using computational geometry algorithms on low-level CAD kernels

  • Work with B-Rep (Boundary Representation) and direct modeling techniques to process and manipulate CAD data efficiently

  • Work in Python/C++ with a CAD kernel to handle the representation of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) within our software solutions

  • Collaborate with the front-end engineering team to ensure seamless integration into user-facing features

  • Tackle complex engineering challenges and conduct performance tests related to CAD integration, topology, and low-level kernel operations to optimize performance

  • Work hand-in-hand with the founding team to define the product and translate user needs into technical specs, with an eye for user pain, simplicity, and scalability

Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of hands-on experience with geometry kernels and low-level operations in C++

  • Proficiency in working with CAD kernels such as OpenCascade, SMLib, Parasolid, or similar, CAD data structures, and the ability to navigate through CAD topology

  • Knowledge of B-Rep, direct modeling, and CAD data manipulation

  • Demonstrated ability to architect and implement complex back-end solutions and take technical ownership

  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical concepts, trade-offs and decisions

  • Willingness to travel to colocate for in-person work weeks with our small, mighty team
