The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Store Designer who will play a pivotal role in bringing Sephora’s cutting-edge retail experience to life. Collaborating closely with the store design team and cross-functional partners, this position is essential in maintaining the highest quality of store design, ensuring an exceptional Sephora experience while meeting cost, timeline, and operational requirements.

  • Manage projects and develop feasibility studies and create optimal plan layouts in high volumes

  • Organize and collaborate with internal Sephora and external Kohl’s business partners through various phases of the projects

  • Understand, maintain, and help build schedules as well as have excellent time management skills

  • Create plans and support for store optimization retrofit fixture roll out for existing shop-in-shop stores

  • Provide design support, develop design standards, and advise on criteria and specific site conditions

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • Retail Architecture & Design Experience – 3-5 years in retail architecture, retail design, architectural firms, or similar fields.

  • Technical Proficiency – 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.

  • Project Management Tools – 1-5 years of familiarity with Smartsheet, Box, Google Drive, or similar platforms.

  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

  • Make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Consider various inputs, criteria and tradeoffs to arrive at the best decision/recommendation.

  • Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

  • High level of initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Possesses a high level of curiosity. Actively seeks new ways to improve their craft. Embraces feedback and loves a challenge.

  • Actively demonstrates both creative and analytical skills, detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.

  • Have general knowledge of retail industry standards, architectural building & ADA codes, fixture design, merchandise requirements and any other design elements that may need to be incorporated into a project.

  • Fluent in the design and construction standards for new stores and fixture initiatives and be diligent in creating store solutions that achieve scope and budget objectives.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,790.00 - $111,530.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
