United States of America: $173,000/year to $245,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. Industrial Designer Responsibilities
Design and develop category-defining products
Combine usability, aesthetics, and technical insight to solve complex problems
Navigate cross-functional teams in a complex environment
Conceive elegant, effective ways to address ergonomic and mechanical challenges
Contribute concepts and problem solving across one or more projects
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field
10+ years of experience developing consumer electronics or wearable tech products
Demonstrated experience in communication, visualization, and problem solving skills
Fluid command of Rhino 3D, Solidworks, Creo or NX
Experience exploring and refining ideas through 2D visualization and physical prototyping
Experience in designing for mass production
Thrive in highly ambiguous situations
Own end-to-end design direction for a major product or subsystem from concept through MP (EVT/DVT/PVT)
Lead cross-functional tradeoffs across ergonomics, ME/EE constraints, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
Raise the team bar by mentoring designers and setting clear craft/quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience designing Robots
