Passion for our mission and vision is required. If you’re excited by providing near-term value, solving novel problems, learning about interesting topics, and completing challenging activities, please apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Represent architectural intuition as application agnostic requirements to link story telling with the as-designed artifacts

  • Design artifacts to the previously defined requirements

  • Contribute to the completion of technical tasks and artifacts through the products life cycle including trade studies, system architectures, system analyses, outfitting conceptual designs, and habitat configurations

  • Work with customers under general supervision to follow Blue Origin and program-specific procedures and standards

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Architecture, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related technical subject area

  • Understanding of several systems engineering methods such as concept development, requirement definition, design solution definition, implementation, integration, verification and validation, qualification, commissioning, or operations

  • Demonstrated ability to use engineering skills used to design, develop, and evaluate astronautical/mechanical/structural systems and hardware, thermal, life support, electrical, etc.

  • Experience regularly providing imaginative and detailed technical solutions to complex problems

  • Familiarity with 3D design tools (e.g. Creo)

  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired (but not required):

  • Successful candidates typically have 3+ years of combined relevant experience in architecture and an aerospace related technical subject area

  • A portfolio of practical, inspiring designs for habitable space systems

  • Knowledge of orbital and lunar surface environments

  • Experience with software tools such as DOORS Next Generation, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Creo, and Windchill
