AI Startup Building for AEC

About the Company

A revenue-generating, AI-native company building the creative platform that architects and designers actually want to use. It brings more than fifty generative models across image, text, and 3D into one collaborative canvas, connected directly to the tools architects already work in like Rhino, Speckle, and Revit. The result is a single place to move from first concept through visualization and into real 3D workflows.

Adoption is already real. Some of the most recognized architecture firms in the world use the platform, alongside thousands of individual designers, and the company is growing fast on the back of genuine demand.

The team is small and sharp. This is an early-stage environment where process is light and priorities move, and the person who thrives here treats that as room to build rather than a lack of structure.

The Role

This is the first product hire, joining the engineering team. You will own the roadmap for the core AI platform and sit at the center of the company, turning how architecture and design firms actually work into product that ships.

This is not a backlog-grooming role. You'll run real customer discovery with practicing architects, make the hard prioritization calls against a long list of possibilities, and keep advanced AI usable for people who are designers first and technologists second. Your judgment will shape what gets built and what gets cut.

Over time you'll build and lead the product function. Early on, you'll set how it works.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product roadmap and prioritization for the core AI platform.

Translate the workflows and pain points of architecture and design firms into clear, buildable requirements.

  • Partner daily with the founding engineers and research team to ship high-quality product.

  • Run customer discovery with practicing architects and designers, define success metrics, and validate that what ships drives real outcomes.

  • Balance advanced AI capability with usability for professionals who are designers first.

  • Establish the lightweight, durable product process that will scale with the company.

  • Who You Are

You've shipped technical B2B products end to end, and you're most at home working shoulder to shoulder with engineers. You've built at least one AI or ML product, and you can talk honestly about what the model can and can't do rather than hiding behind it.

You're genuinely curious about how the built environment gets designed. Maybe you came up through architecture and moved into product, or you came from vertical SaaS and fell for this domain. Either way, you understand that a tool for designers has to respect how designers think.

You want to be the first product person at a company, not the tenth. The scope excites you more than it scares you.

    Qualifications

    • 5 or more years in product management, ideally in B2B SaaS. An exceptional candidate with fewer years but a rare mix of AEC fluency and AI product experience will be considered.

    • A track record of shipping technical products end to end in close partnership with engineering.

    • Experience with AI or ML products.

    • Strong customer discovery instincts and disciplined prioritization.

    • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Comfort operating with ambiguity and minimal process in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

    • Bonus: a background in AEC, architecture, or design tools; familiarity with CAD or BIM tools like Rhino, Revit, or Speckle; a technical degree or hands-on fluency; or prior experience as an early or founding product hire at a seed to Series A company.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • $200,000-$225,000 base salary, depending on experience.

    • Meaningful early-stage equity.

    • $15,000 relocation reimbursement.

    • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage.

    • Unlimited paid time off.

    • Boston or New York preferred, with a remote start considered for candidates who intend to relocate.
