Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lighting CAD Specialist to support our Sales and Engineering teams in delivering high-quality and technically accurate project documentation.
This position plays a crucial support role in the design and sales cycle, by helping move projects forward. Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, the candidate will play a key role in organizing project folders, analyzing layouts, and developing lighting configurations and plans using our products for sales quotations.

Key Responsibilities
• CAD Drafting: Create CAD drawings for lighting layouts and technical specifications, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Project Documentation: Help organize and maintain project folders, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accessible throughout various project stages.
• Preliminary list of Materials: Compile Excel-based material lists for architectural lighting systems based on preliminary layouts, ensuring accuracy in quantity, configuration, and product codes to support quoting and project planning.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Technical Project Manager and sales team to ensure that proposed layouts meet client expectations and align with budget considerations.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus).
• Basic understanding of lighting design principles and architectural lighting concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with lighting calculation software (e.g., AGi32, DIALux) for basic lighting simulations when needed.
Organizational Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple project folders and organize documentation efficiently.
Communication Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams.
• Ability to clearly present and explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Lighting Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a lighting design or lighting manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with product selection and specification processes.
