The Director of Virtual Design Construction will be instrumental in advancing the company’s BIM technologies, keeping the company on the cutting edge of constant improvement, creating content and training curriculum, managing multiple direct / indirect reports, and being visible within the industry. The Director of Virtual Design Construction will lead a department and push WEO’s VDC capabilities as part of our brand with our clients, Architectural firms, consultants, etc. You will be the liaison between the company stakeholders and the staff to clearly communicate the company’s VDC vision and how VDC tools will be executed in the field.

Key Responsibilities The duties, responsibilities and attributes of the Director of Virtual Design Construction typically include, but are not limited to: Technical Skills
Work closely with the Estimator, Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator, Vice President of Estimating, Project Manager and Project Executive during the estimating and preconstruction phases
Ensure 3D take-offs are being utilized & accurate as well as providing feedback to the Owner & Design Team on the LOD state of the model at each stage in the estimating process.
Support VDC implementation opportunities with marketing and preconstruction departments
