Location – Onsite Palo Alto, CA – Hybrid/Flexible Work Arrangements
We have started coming back into the office on a hybrid basis (though flexible!) with the candidate expected to be based in either NYC or Palo Alto. Note: is not a fully remote role.
Key responsibilities - This is an individual contributor design role
Communicate complex information using interaction design tools, including journey maps, storyboards, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, etc.
Execute a variety of design tasks to align with our product deadlines
Apply, maintain, and build upon design systems to ensure consistent designs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, subject matter experts, copywriters, and legal
Understand and document user research findings and iterate designs based on feedback
Deliver wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity screens, and visual assets to support the product development process
Create click-through prototypes, presentations, and videos to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders
Required qualifications
Minimum +3 years of relevant professional industry (non-academic/internship) experiencein digital product design / UX design related field
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience
Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner
Proficiency in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, Invision, and Keynote
Experience in the application of design systems such as Material Design
Experience working with Product Management and Development teams
Experience working across multiple platforms (e.g., products, websites, mobile apps, etc.)
The softer Required Skills
Demonstrated ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment balancing and managing diverse stakeholder needs
Ability to collaborate across various functional areas in the organizations and make the case for change through design
Nice to have’s
Bachelor's degree or higher in Digital Product Design, Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields
Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology
Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design
Familiarity with financial services
Technical knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Video editing skills (iMovie, FinalCutPro, or other video editing software)
