The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate design professional to join the Hyatt Lifestyle Group based at our New York City Lifestyle Creative Hub. The Role

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of design sensibility, organizational acumen, and strong collaboration skills to assist in the creative development and coordination of hotel projects from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion brand design by ensuring alignment with Hyatt’s lifestyle DNA and aspirations.

  • Collaborate with the Department and Business Development Team to prepare program and blocking diagrams for new projects.

  • Represent the Lifestyle team in project kick-offs, design workshops, and consultant meetings.

  • Maintain brand design standards, toolkits, and style guides for internal and external partners.

  • Support the broader Design Department and its leadership by aiding in project management efforts, coordinating with project consultants, and handling tasks such as drafting, design development, and creating presentations to ensure effective project communication.

  • Assist in preparing scopes of work, RFPs, project schedules, and pitch decks for new builds or renovations.

  • Contribute to the development of design presentations, mood boards, materials palettes, and project narratives.

  • Manage internal project timelines and milestones; coordinate with other departments (e.g., business development, marketing, nightlife) to meet deadlines.

  • Ensure proactive and professional communication across all project touchpoints.

  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of active, pending, and completed projects.

  • Organize and manage the flow of new project information for global team accessibility.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design.

  • Minimum 6+ years of post-graduate experience in architecture and interiors; hospitality experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of construction and design documentation.

  • Excellent space planning and organizational skills.

  • Experience managing presentations, design proposals, renovations, and/or construction projects.

  • Creative drive with attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Flexibility to shift focus while maintaining progress on multiple assignments.

  • Ability to manage long-term and short-term projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and other design tools.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed.

  • Ability to effectively communicate creative concepts.

  • Positive attitude and enjoyment of creative challenges.

  • Curiosity and initiative in exploring design innovation, sustainability, and wellness.

  • Familiarity with project coordination processes and documentation.

The salary range for this position is $100,510 - $111,090.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate
