POSITION OVERVIEW

The Design Coordinator reports to the Director of Design & Technical Services. This position plays a critical role in managing the quality of the development and design process, while implementing Aman’s standards and brand objectives through a focus on superior design strategies and solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A bachelor’s degree in design or architecture is required

  • Eligibility to work in United States

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an architectural or interior designer, design coordinator or in a related role

  • Familiarity with aspects of luxury hotel and resort project delivery. Design & Technical Services background with luxury hotel operator preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, additional languages desirable

  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and cultural sensitivity

  • Familiarity and interest in office management systems and procedures

  • Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of Bluebeam Revu desirable

  • Strong organizational abilities to multitask and prioritize daily workload efficiently

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and efficient transmission of instructions, feedback, vision and understanding of broader project team members’ needs
