Your Role

Gensler’s San Francisco office is seeking a junior levelBrand Designer. This position focuses on the design, documentation and implementation of graphic design, environmental graphic design and signage projects, with familiarity in motion graphics a plus. The candidate has a strong understanding of 3D graphic design and detailing, integrating concepts into built environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude in ideation and concepting as well as technical skills from design development through documentation and fabrication coordination. This individual will work on teams comprised of designers from design disciplines, across multiple project types (retail, workplace, mixed-use, corporate campus, education, aviation and architecture).

What You Will Do

  • Apply a solid understanding of typography, composition, and information design to create impactful visual communications.

  • Interpret and integrate architectural scales, sections, plans, and elevations into design work, with a keen understanding of the built environment.

  • Develop technical documentation, including location plans, message schedules, materials specifications, and create production-ready art with attention to detail.

  • Learn and adapt to new software modeling and documentation tools to support project needs.

  • Employ excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an emphasis on technical writing, to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.

  • Your Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field

    • 0-5 years professional experience in environmental graphic design, print/digital design, or similar studio experience

    • Adobe Creative Suite with CADtools, specifically proficiency InDesign and Illustrator

    • Ability to work in Figma, Adobe XD and Adobe After Effects is a strong advantage

    • Ability to work in 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp is a strong advantage

    • Ability to work in Revit for signage programming is a strong advantage

    • Motion graphic, animation and/or illustration skills a plus

    **The base salary will be estimated between $64,000 - $75,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
