About the Company
A well-funded, AI-native architecture firm on a mission to fix how urban housing gets designed, permitted, and built in America. The company operates as a licensed architectural practice, serving real estate developers with permit-ready projects delivered dramatically faster and with higher predictability than traditional firms. They're backed by significant venture capital, scaling aggressively in 2026, and serious about design.
The team is small and sharp. They believe that applying computational intelligence and systems thinking to residential architecture doesn't mean giving up on aesthetics. It means there's finally enough leverage to get them right.
The Role
This is not a production rendering position. The company is looking for someone to own the visual identity of their entire design catalog - a library of residential building typologies (duplex, townhome, small multifamily) that will be refined and deployed across projects nationwide. Think in-house creative director for a growing product line, not a renderer executing someone else's vision.
You will set the aesthetic standard for how this company's work looks and feels to developers, to the public, and to the cities they're building in. You'll work directly with design leadership from early concept through polished presentation, and your eye will be the consistent thread across every visual the company puts into the world.
The person they're looking for has a singular, developed point of view. Not broad, client-pleasing versatility - a specific aesthetic applied with rigor and defended with confidence. If you've been told your taste is too particular, this might be the right place.
What You'll Do
Own the visual language of the company's residential design catalog - a growing library of prototypical building types refined and redeployed across projects.
Collaborate with design leadership during early conceptualization to develop visual studies, massing explorations, and design iterations.
Produce high-quality renderings for developer presentations, feasibility studies, and marketing.
Translate architectural drawings and design intent into imagery that communicates not just what a building looks like but why it matters.
Maintain a strong, consistent aesthetic across all visual output. You're building a brand as much as you're building a portfolio.
Who You Are
You have a singular point of view. Your eye for composition, light, materiality, and context is what defines your work - not your software proficiency, not your range. You know what makes a rendering feel real versus decorative, and you have strong opinions about the difference.
You've worked in architecture or a closely adjacent practice long enough to understand how buildings actually get built. That knowledge makes your imagery better - more grounded, more honest, more useful.
You're looking for a place where your visual sensibility will directly shape how a company presents itself to the world. You want to work on housing that matters, at a company that's thought carefully about why it matters.
You are already authorized to work in the United States.
