Lead research and strategy activities on client projects using established best practices, but with an eagerness and interest in experimenting with new methods and tools (e.g. AI-powered processes, creative methods, new data sources)
Project responsibilities will include:
Qualitative research: Design screeners and discussion guides, and moderate interviews, diary studies, and co-creation workshops that clearly support the goals of the project. Synthesize findings and create compelling narratives for clients, including senior stakeholders.
Product and business strategy: Translate research into opportunity areas, frameworks, and go-to-market recommendations. Conduct landscape and trend analysis, market sizing, and triangulate findings with emerging technology and business inputs to make product and business recommendations to clients.
Quantitative research: Design surveys with understanding of appropriate sample sizes and survey methodologies (e.g. Max Diff vs Likert). Analyze data with crosstabs, pivot tables, and basic statistical methods to complement qualitative insights and strengthen recommendations.
Naturally you’ll have:
5–7 years of applied product or consumer research experience with specific case studies working with tech-forward companies
Ability to create research materials (screener, discussion guides, surveys, diary study missions, co-design stimuli) with clear articulation of why each component supports the goals of the project
Experience connecting mixed methods research to strategy and business impact
Working knowledge of quantitative methods and comfort with survey design and data analysis (using advanced Excel)
Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior level stakeholders to make compelling design and product recommendations
Passionate about experimenting with new tools or research approaches
Enthusiasm for mentoring junior researchers
The salary range will be dependent on experience and from a full-time salary perspective will range from $95,000-$125,000.
