Position Overview

Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production. Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. Produce shop drawings and illustrative diagrams as needed.

 Responsibilities

  • Work with the project management team to convert project briefs into designs

  • Modify existing client designs to be practical and functional

  • Create build drawings

  • Create CNC Files

  • Work with third party engineering firms to obtain engineering wet stamps

  • Work with building and safety to obtain necessary permits

  • Perform site surveys

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, schedules and other construction documents

Requirements 

  • Software: proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator & Sketch Up

  • Time Management: You will be collaborating working with project managers, builders & vendors, often on multiple

  • Analytical Skills: You will also need analytical skills to be able to solve problems that may come up during a typical work day. You will be analyzing data and making decisions that affect the project on a regular

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft

  • Possesses detailed knowledge of material tolerances & build/assembly

  • Works well with a team

  • Possesses solid analytical and problem solving
